This position requires experience in management, engineering, facility design and construction, and EH&S. This is a temp-to-hire for the right candidate opportunity.<br>

1. Must be a technical resource and provide day-to-day leadership for engineering projects, facility upgrades and maintenance issues.<br>
2. Set and maintain standards for good relations and communications with a wide variety of other departments.<br>
3. Must adhere to client's SOP's, EPA, FDA, and EU standards and regulations.<br>
4. Must be able to define, prioritize and achieve realistic, specific goals and objectives while working independently.<br>
5. Identify required/needed upgrades, modifications and resources for building and utilities.<br>
6. Direct outside (contracted) engineering firms as well as outside construction companies.<br>
7. Works collaboratively with colleagues, management, and administrative staff.<br>

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS<br>

Must be extremely computer literate with working knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and maintenance management databases. Must demonstrate excellent communications skill for dealing with maintenance staff, outside technical contractors, quality, and in-plant management on subjects involving engineering design, operations, functionality, and project planning.<br>

Bachelor’s Degree in a Mechanical/Electrical engineering discipline, or BS in Project Management<br>

This position requires at least 7 years of experience directing the efforts of outside Architectural and Engineering professionals in developing scope of work, facility design, evaluating equipment and materials, establishing  priorities, and decision making. Evaluating workmanship of skilled tradesmen, experience in dealing with complex-interdependent systems and managing project similar in scope and size.<br>

Requirements<br>
Applicants should have experience and knowledge of HW/SW design, including analog, digital/processor and RF circuits . Knowledge of solar cell technologies is a plus.<br>
<br>
Applicants should also display basic familiarity with digital electronics (e.g. microprocessors, DSPs, CPLDs, FPGAs), one or more communications protocols (e.g. Ethernet, CAN, RS422/485/232, I^2C, SPI). Experience with circuit schematic capture and simulation, as well as PCB layout, is preferred.<br>

Special consideration will be give to applicants with additional skills / experience in design for space environments, high reliability fault tolerant systems, radiation hardening, or EMI shielding and grounding.<br>
