The black cable is about 3/4" diameter with a protective scuff-resistant sheathing on it, clearly designed for rugged outdoor uses. It is excellent quality industrial grade cable, and is ideal for video / TV station / radio station / media operations / movie making / emergency operations / military & police operations / sports operations / scientific operations / large gatherings, etc. NOTE: I did not measure the cable's length, so the 235 feet is estimated from my calculations of 50 cable coils, each averaging an estimated conservative 18" in diameter, so I cannot guarantee the exact length of the cable. The people who sold it to me said it was 250 feet long, but they had not personally measured it either.
