The Diamond Way Buddhist Center of Albuquerque is one of over 600 centers around the world founded and directed by Lama Ole Nydahl. At the request of their own teacher, HH. the 16th Karmapa, Rangjung Rigpe Dorje, Lama Ole and his wife Hannah began to teach in the early 70's and the result of their activity is that thousands now effectively practice in the Karma Kagyu tradition throughout Europe, Russia, Australia, New Zealand and the Americas.
The Albuquerque center provides a relaxed environment where people are able to investigate authentic buddhist teachings and meditations. The dharma talks present an introduction for newcomers and the meditations are all conducted in English. Those who find they have a natural affinity for Diamond Way Buddhism form the core of the group and work together to run the center on the basis of friendship and trust.
