Hi,

I am pregnant and am due May 14th. I am planning a homebirth and have a toddler I need looked after in my home while I am laboring. I am looking for someone who is comfortable with the birthing experience (and who I am also comfortable with) as I would like my son to have the freedom to come in and out of the room as he pleases. Since labor is not planned this person would be on call and would need to be able to drop everything to come care for my son once I go in to labor. I am looking for someone this far in advance because I know it may be hard to find the ideal candidate. I would also like to employ this person to care for my son on occasion (for date nights) before the birth so my son can get use to you and we can get to know you as well. Also I am a childcare provider as well so I know how important it is to be compensated well for your time. We would be happy to pay hourly but are looking for someone who can charge us something reasonable. Please email me with your experience and rates and anything else you'd like to share!
