DRUMMER AND KEYBOARDIST WANTED

Inner Genes are looking for serious musicians with open minds, creativity, and dedication. Must have own reliable equipment and transportation. Our music has elements of indie/electro/punk and other various influences. Sound is somewhat similar to The Sounds, Trouble Andrew, Reggie and the Full Effect, and can be heard on Myspace.com/innergenes. We’re looking to add some dynamic and new dimensions to our music and live act. In doing so, we hope to build upon our recent success. We love experimenting, exploring our creativity, and making our sound as big as possible, based on basic and fundamental elements of song construction. We’re interested to see what you have and how we can learn from each other to progress. We want NO restrictions to what we can potentially accomplish as a band.

Drummer: We’re looking for a drummer with creativity and a love for music. Someone who can break out of specific genres of music and approach the songs with style and fun. We want drums that touch in hip hop, indie, punk and whatever else comes our way. Although we love the natural sound that a drum set can produce, a percussion pad in addition is necessary. We’re fascinated with the range of sounds a drum pad can contribute to the songs. Any other electric formulated drums are cool with us as well. Drummers from bands like AFI and Action Design have been able to successfully pull it off and it spices things up. Experience is a plus but creativity is an emphasis of ours.

Keyboardist: The keyboard in our music is new to us so we’re still trying to explore it’s potential. You don’t need to be Beethoven but simply have fun and sound good. We’re looking for a keyboard/synth player who can create contagious melodies and harmonies. We’ve been experimenting with the layering of keys heard in hip hop and have been attempting to play around with it in our newer songs. We’re really liking the synth riffs in Trouble Andrew, Cobra Starship, and Action Design’s music. We’re not trying to be anything like those bands but see what they’re doing to improve on our music. We’re curious and excited to see what you have to bring to the table.
