This space is ideal for roommates. The bedrooms are on opposite ends of the house, so there's plenty of privacy and quiet. A walk-in closet in the bedroom and a deep linen closet in the bathroom, not to mention space in the 2-car garage that would easily house mountain bikes, kayaks, hiking gear - You name it. The space is about 1200 square feet - Far bigger than I need just for myself. There's a lot of storage space available. While yours would be the main bathroom, I don't often have guests. You'll have it mostly to yourself. The condo has high ceilings and skylights, so it's very bright - Ideal for plants and sun-loving people. Laundry facilities are on-site, and there's a fenced in back yard for privacy.

About the neighborhood - The house is located on a quiet street with almost no traffic, and right next to a spacious park where people often go to play tennis, soccer, or walk their pets. It's also just a few blocks from Whole Foods, a Smith's grocery store, Borders, Target, Wal-Mart, and many restaurants. The base of the Sandia Mountains is a mere 3 miles away. You'd be less than 15 minutes from just about anything notable in town.

About me - I am quiet, clean, a non-smoker and occasional social drinker. I have a friendly and energetic dog who loves people. I'm looking for a roommate who is also clean, quiet, a non-smoker, and professional. Sorry, I am not able to accommodate any additional pets. I'm open to living with someone just relocating to the area, who might need temporary accommodations. I've received a lot of help from friends since my arrival to Albuquerque - I'm more than happy to pay it forward.

Rent is $400/month, plus half utilities (gas, electric, wireless internet). This month, the total utility cost was $110, and I expect it will be somewhat higher in the winter, but that at least gives an estimate of expenses.

A $300 deposit is required, as is a background and credit check (to be completed by the rental company - I believe they charge a $16 fee). Be thankful for the background check. I also went through this process, so you can be assured that you are living with a reputable roommate. It's a good thing. :-)
