Avoid scams and fraud by dealing locally! Beware any arrangement involving Western Union, Moneygram, wire transfer, or a landlord/owner who is out of the country or cannot meet you in person.

I'm a middle aged male who may be moving to Albuquerque to begin teaching in January. It's an exciting thought but still a crapshoot.
For the past three years I was in a similar situation in a different city and lived in the same shared residence for the 3 years. The residence was a nice house with parking, washer/dryer, full house priviledges, no smoking inside, no serious partying, close to the university and I could ride my bike regularly. The group that lived in the house were mainly associated with the nearby university and ranged in age from 20 to 60 ........ "drama" was not really a problem.
If you have a room in a shared house nearby to UNM that you might want to rent out beginning in January (for minimum one semester lease), please email me. If thoughts are mutual maybe we can meet during an upcoming campus visit.
