Athletic Trainer / Performance Specialist
We are looking for elite, talented athletic trainers who maintain current NATA-BOC with a NM state license and either CSCS, PES, MES to cover athletic events and work with post injury clients. This is a joint position between Southwest Sports Institute (SWSI) and Athletic Training Institute (ati).
SWSI is the only professional fitness/athletics company in NM working with professional athletes. ati is an emerging leader in sports medicine in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with its innovative approach to event management, performance enhancement and cutting edge techniques in rehabilitation.
Position Summary
Assume responsibility and accountability for providing quality performance training and education including but not limited to;
The athletic trainer will provide outreach sports medicine and athletic training for community athletic events.
Provide group-class instruction and one-on-one fitness instruction to SWSI clients
Evaluate SWSI members' physical fitness and keep track of their progress
Develop and administer programs that provide the optimum results for SWSI’s members
Attend monthly staff meetings
Days, evenings and weekends
Attendance at events that match fitness/athletics interests
Design, implement and/or facilitate a monthly class or specialty program
Teach health education classes to corporate clients
Job Qualifications
Graduate of a University with at least a B.S. in related field of study
Current Certification from a professional fitness association
ATC/L, NSCA-CSCS or NASM-PES preferred
Current CPR and First Aid
Desired Experience
Personal training individuals and small groups
Working with recreational, college, professional or Olympic level athletes
Compensation: $30-$75/HR
