Large handmade wall frame. Pine construction finished with shou sugi ban (char and brush method), giving the wood a wavy and smooth feel and appearance. Splits in the wood are a natural characteristic of the charring process. Backing is corrugated metal, intentionally distressed with a patina finish. Frame ends extend 13.5” past the frame edge on all sides. Wire hanging hardware installed on the back.
Built to display a large floating image, which has been removed. 7 visible mounting holes remain in the metal backing.
