Here is what they are going for nowadays! https://fishcreekalaska.com/products/eagle-antler-wall-hangar
This is perfect for a man cave!
It is one whole side of a reindeer antler with a carved face of a bald eagle. The antler has nice "veining" and have lovely symmetry.
I bought this about 30 years ago when I was in Alaska for the first time.
I loved he way that the artist made the face of the eagle so I bought it and shipped it to Albuquerque.
It has hung in my home for three decades but I have downsized homes now so not a lot of space to hang it.
Most artists drilled out for the eye and added a different type of eye. I liked the fact that this guy made the face of the eagle from the antler and carved it just like the rest of the head. He was a cool older Inuit Indian and I spoke with him for an hour or so.
These are silly expensive nowadays and a mint to ship.
Buy mine and never see another one like it in Albuquerque! I haven't in 30 years!
Cash only please.
The best size approximation is about 26" high and 20" wide. I sits about 6" or 7" off of the wall and gives a neat 3D effect.
Hard to measure since the antler is curved.
By the way both sides of the antler are carved with the face of the eagle.
It hangs by one nail which makes it super simple.
I had it sold on eBay (buyer didn't want to pay the $100 shipping and he had the cajones to leave me negative feedback) and had a lot of interest at $250 plus shipping and tax but don't want to have to make a box to ship it if I don't have to. I removed the ebay ad below after it sold. I'm just tired of eBay fees and such.
