A tall case Smiths-Enfield clock ca. 1950 with Westminster chimes most likely manufactured at the Smiths factory in Ystradgynlais, Wales. It was purchased in London by an Englishman who then brought it over to Santa Fe during a move to the US.

The 8-day movement (pull weights up once per week via the chains) has been disassembled, each component cleaned, wheel pivots polished, worn plate bushings replaced, reassembled and fresh lubricated - for many more years of service. The clock is fully functional.

The wooden case stands 78 inches tall, 16 3/4 inches wide, and 12 inches deep. There are two glass doors with one for access to the weights and pendulum, and the other for access to the dial. The top portion is a hood that slides forward and off. The weights, chains, and pendulum bob are silver in color.

The chimes are Westminster playing 4 notes at the quarter hour, 8 at the half, 12 at the third quarters, and 16 at the hour. After the 16 notes at the hour, the clock strikes a single 4-rod chord counting the number of hours.

$600. Cash only. Transportation and setup of clock is negotiable. Email ("reply" above) or phone/text (9 zero three 03 fiftysix) for more information. Thanks for looking!
