A large colorful cuckoo clock from the Black Forest region of Germany manufactured in the 1950s. It was distributed by Ludwig Nowak in Frankfurt am Main. It is a 3-weight 1-day (wind once per day) cuckoo clock with music playing after any set of coo coos. On the half hour the cuckoo opens his door and coo coos once with one bob up and down and then closes the door. Shortly after the second door opens, a man is playing an accordion, and the music plays. On the hour the cuckoo opens his door and coo coos the amount of the hour while bobbing up and down for each, and then closes the door. The other door opens with the man and a second musical tune plays. The alternating musical tunes are by Johann Strauss II: Kaiser Walzer (Emperor's Waltz) and Geschichten aus dem Wienerwald (Tales from the Vienna Woods). The case is about 20 1/2 inches tall (not including weights and pendulum), 15 inches wide, and 8 inches deep. The decorations include a cuckoo eating berries on the top and a fox walking underneath.

The movement has been disassembled, each component cleaned, worn bushings replaced, pivots polished, reassembled, adjusted and freshly lubricated (May 2024) - for many more years of service. The clock mechanics have also been adjusted. Fully functional! Keeps excellent time!

$300. Cash only. Email ("Reply" above) or call/text (9 zero three 03 fiftysix) for more information. Thanks for look'n!
