*Uriarte Talavera is a traditional Talavera enterprise in the city of Puebla, Mexico, founded in 1824. Workshop artisans still use traditional colors and designs. It is one of only a few workshops eligible for certificates of authenticity by the Mexican government.
Uriarte is one of the oldest producers of authentic Talavera pottery in Mexico. The designs and processes are unique, with no two pieces exactly alike, as they are made entirely by hand, with the process taking up to three months. Most pieces are signed by the artisan who creates them.
