This Astounding Double Hemisphere Map of the World is Original 1781 and is 244 Years old!! It was Hand-Colored in 1781!! It was made on old fashioned "Laid Paper" which was hand made out of 100% Cotton so it will Never yellow or get brittle!! The Map itself measures 14.25" Wide by 10.50" High! The Beautiful Frame measures 18.50" Wide by 13.50" High! This Stunning Antique 1781 French Map was made during the Revolutionary War which didn't end until 1783. At the time this Map was made in 1781 France was helping the original 13 American Colonies fight the British with Naval blockaides, weapons, muskets, cannons, black powder, etc. The Hydrographic Engineer, M. Good, who made this Map was in the French Navy and he made it during the American Revolutionary War in 1781.
