I purchased this from a gentleman who was stationed in Japan and this was his personal bike while living on an aircraft carrier. It is such an interesting and unique bike. I have not seen one like this before and probably will not again.
It has a center shift selector for the gears, turn signals, brake lights and a front light as well. Front and rear racks, fenders, rear wheel lock, spring saddle, kick stand!, etc. The pannier is collapsable and very handy for running to the store, placing your bag in or even have your favourite pet come along. It has peds on the rear for another person to hitch a ride and so on. It really is super cool!
Regrettably, I do not ride it and just have no space.
Two years ago I did a complete top to bottom overhaul of the entire bicycle. New bearings and grease throughout, all cables and housing replaced, new chain, new pads, new everything. All remaining parts were polished, cleaned and re-installed. It then hung in my room for those two years.
In full disclosure, it needs a couple of minor things. The tubes very slowly lose air. I think the sealant is died or minimal. Easy and cheap fix. It will need to be wired up again. The dynamo still works, just need to be installed and routed correctly. I just never got around to finalizing that. The rear brake light needs to be glued in place, but will leave that for the new owner. I was going to replace all the bulbs with LED's but the new owner may want to keep it stock. Other than that, it's complete and ready to roll! Literally!
WILLING TO SHIP! Add $100 for shipping in the lower 48. Includes a professional packing job by local bicycle shop.
Will trade for a 2" receiver bike rack and cash (unless its a 1 Up!), Honda D16 performance parts/4x100 wheels, and high end 35mm compact film cameras. Otherwise, cash is king!
I hope this goes to a good home.
