This is the last year (2024) that Giant made the (standard) Trance that was superceded by the Tance X. The main difference from the X model is slightly less suspension and a steeper head angle. This allows it to ride faster while racing, climb better and the frame geometry makes it more agile, better turning and steering control. This Trance model is an all around trail, climber and XC riding/racing (and very downhill capable) while the later X model is more focused on semi extreme downhill and all mountain riding. So if your doing more downhill, don't race and want more suspension then the Trance X is probably better for you.
This standard Trance model with less expensive components (Trance 29er -2) still sells for $2200 plus tax & delivery fee from authorized Giant dealers.
Paid over $2600 (on sale) from fat tire in Albuquerque, rode one season for sophomore highschool NICA league. Side graded to a less suspension more dedicated XC bike. Firm on price for a quick sale. The only issues are minor cosmetic paint scratches (see photos). Dropper collar scratched from cap coming loose and contacting seat (see photos). Hydraulic brakes, Fox forks, Fox rear suspension, seat dropper post, tubeless tires with plenty of tread, literally like new (see photos). Rear suspension and forks work like new. Lockouts and rebound function perfectly. Freshly tuned, oiled and fresh sealant, ready to ride.
If you want to test Ride through some trails I can meet in the Foothills or in the Sandia Crest. I ride everywhere so I can take you on decent trail ride if you're capable and want to see if this bike is.
