Snipe racing dinghy #12402. 15.5 foot mahogany wooden sailboat. Sitka Spruce spar. This boat was handed down to me by the original owner. He had it made for him in New York State in the late 1950s. I have all the original paperwork. I have the title for the trailer… Which is original too. I sell this boat for several years in the New Orleans area: Lake Pontchartrain and the Gulf of Mexico. I moved to Albuquerque New Mexico six years ago. The snipe has been in an indoor dry storage since then. I did a complete restoration a few years ago. The sails are functional, but will need to be replaced soon.
If you are not familiar with the snipe, it is an incredibly fun and fast sailboat. It can be single-handed/solo.
