AOR 4.125 Captain Beefheart and His Magic Band Rock Concert Poster – Original print, art by Rick Griffin. Captain Beefheart And His Magic Band, Portable People at the University of California Crawford Hall, Irvine CA. Though the show in the design is dated 1968, Rick Griffin made this poster years later in 1972 as a commemorative piece. Gordon McClelland, Rick Griffin's former partner & Publisher at California Graphix Exchange, states that the original Captain Beefheart concert at Crawford Hall had been canceled. Gordon also notes that California Graphix Exchange only printed a total of 1,000 copies of this poster, which includes both the white paper and light-yellow paper versions. Approximately 14” x 20”.
Condition: Excellent, no damage. Includes frame
