The Homestead Cafe is a New Mexico Bistro & Bar located at the base of the Sandia Peak Tramway in Albuquerque. We serve locally roasted coffee, fresh-baked goods, New Mexico-inspired dishes, and handcrafted cocktails — all from a stunning outdoor deck with panoramic views of the city and the Sandia Mountains. The Role:
As a Server at Homestead, you're not just taking orders — you're setting the tone for someone's entire experience. Whether it's a first-time visitor who just rode the tram or a regular who comes in every Thursday for Trivia Night, your job is to make every guest feel cared for and glad they came.
What You'll Do:
Welcome guests, present menus, and guide them through our food and drink offerings
Take orders accurately and communicate effectively with the kitchen and bar team
Deliver food and beverages in a timely, attentive manner
Anticipate guest needs and handle requests with a positive, can-do attitude
Support your teammates and contribute to a smooth, enjoyable shift
Help maintain a clean, welcoming dining room and deck
What We're Looking For:
Genuine warmth and a love of hospitality — this matters more than experience
Strong communication skills and the ability to read a table
Ability to stay calm, organized, and positive during busy service
Reliable, punctual, and a true team player
Previous serving experience preferred but not required — we'll train the right person
Must be 21+ to serve alcohol (New Mexico requirement)
Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
