I used these for shipping memo pads and found them to be the most reliable packaging available. The wrap style really protects the items. They are also great for very small books and the product info states they work for CDs also. With shipping charges, these would be around $75 today online, before any taxes.
See the couple of photos where I'm packing a couple of 5.5x4 inch memo pads, with some room to spare. They can fit a small book or other item that's a bit larger, if the thickness is small. When you come by to purchase these, you can bring an item you're looking to ship and see if it fits first. Please look at the measurements I'm providing first though. These are small mailers.
