This was originally under a large sawdust hopper. It allowed dumping large quantity of sawdust into open top semi trailers. The two hydraulic cylinders opened and closed it. The is sort of a sprocket setup on top that makes sure both halves open evenly. The unit has cosmetic surface rust from sitting outside but we believe is in otherwise largely unused condition. It was replace with an auger system for loading closed top semitrailers.
