Up for grabs is the most desired and collected of the Eames shell chairs. This early all original first generation example was produced between 1950-1954 in the Zenith plastics factory in Gardena, California. It features the early shock mounts and rope edge. I believe the color is parchment. This chair is in excellent original unrestored condition. This piece is one of the most important designs of the era and is included in numerous museum collections. It is a must have for the midcentury modern collector. We are asking $1500 which is about half of what most people are asking for similar examples.
