I have been making a creative product for my industry out of my rental home for a few years and am now ready to make it a full-time endeavor and slowly retire from my lifelong career to devote my time to this business as it grows. The only problem is I am out of space. I am looking for a live/work space in Albuquerque or very near with the following;
*Studio, warehouse or workshop space to work in and keep materials-Doesn't have to be huge, a normal garage size would probably do just fine, I am not sure what the zoning would need to be, as I've seen my product classified as art and light manufacturing
* living area- either a large open area or actual home area. I have children and dogs that must stay with me. This is non-negotiable. I am not interested in rehoming my dogs under any circumstance. They have never been a problem when renting and are not any sort of dangerous breed.
*securely fenced yard- for my dogs and I also like to garden , concrete is okay as long as I have outdoor hose access .
I have a steady income from my job of 25 years in the north valley, and children that go to school in the uptown and midtown areas, so anywhere close to either of those would be ideal.
The problem I have is I am trying to stay under 1k a month. I cannot qualify for more than that with my secure income from my job and would not feel comfortable committing to more as i am just starting out with this business. I currently have been at a rental home for a very long time and only pay 800, I am very lucky to live where I live at this price and do not want to move and lose it unless I am sure it is something I can afford. I am not wanting to go into debt or borrow money to start this business as I already have the materials and a customer base. I literally just need proper space
