Beautiful matching pair of vintage Southwestern paintings by listed New Mexico artist Erv Johnson. These are original acrylic paintings done directly on genuine suede/brushed leather backgrounds—a signature technique Johnson used to give the artwork a rich, authentic, earthy texture that perfectly mimics Native American pottery.

​Selling strictly as a set. They look incredible staggered on a wall or flanking a shelf.

​The Set Includes:
​Vertical Hopi Painting: Features a traditional dual-spouted Pueblo Wedding Vase with geometric wing and bird motifs.
​Horizontal Santo Domingo Painting: Features a wide-bodied Olla/seed jar with iconic black geometric leaf patterns and a red slip bottom.
​Details:
• Medium: Acrylic paint on genuine suede/brushed leather.
• Authenticity: Both are signed/etched "ERV J" in the bottom left corner.
• Provenance: The original vintage artist business cards (from his Albuquerque studio) are still attached to the back of each frame, identifying the specific pottery styles.
