Chavez Concrete is a 70+ year commercial and industrial concrete contractor based in Albuquerque. We self-perform turnkey form, place, and finish on multifamily, structural slabs, foundations, stem walls, retaining walls, and industrial work. Projects include some of the largest pours in New Mexico. We run our own crews and hold our own schedule. We always have work — we stay busy year-round with a strong backlog.
The Role-
We're hiring an experienced concrete superintendent to run field operations on commercial and industrial jobs across Albuquerque/Rio Rancho and within a one-hour radius. You'll own layout, formsetting, rebar, pour sequencing, crew production, and schedule from mobilization to closeout.
Responsibilities-
• Run day-to-day field operations on structural slabs, foundations, stem walls, retaining walls, and flatwork
• Set and check forms, verify layout, grade, and elevations before every pour
• Coordinate rebar, embeds, and inspections; hold the pour schedule
• Manage crew production, manpower loading, and daily output
• Enforce safety standards on site
• Coordinate with the GC, ready-mix, pump, and inspectors
• Track quantities, daily reports, and progress against schedule
Requirements-
• Strong formsetting and layout background — can read structural drawings and set forms without hand-holding
• Knowledge of commercial/industrial concrete: slabs on grade, footings, stem walls, retaining walls
• Ability to schedule and sequence pours and hit dates
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a major plus and strongly encouraged
