PDC has an exciting opportunity for an Electrician 2 to join our department. Reporting to our Supervisor of Construction, this position is responsible for design, troubleshoot, repair and installation of various electrical systems working directly under a Master Electrician.

Conditions of Employment:
  • Possession of a valid New Mexico driver's license is a requirement for this job.
  • Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
  • This position is represented by a labor union and is subject to the terms and conditions of the CWA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • CPR and First Aid certification must be obtained within 6 months of date of hire.
  • Successful candidate must submit to post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check.

Requirements


Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; at least 4 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Possession of a current New Mexico Journeyman Electrician's License,

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge and experience with following oral or written work order procedural instructions.
  • Excellent understanding of complex wiring diagrams, codebooks, and similar documents.
  • Extensive knowledge and proficiency in planning, layouts, install and repair wiring, fixtures, and control equipment.
  • Ability to multitask while staying organized and working independently.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism at all times and under stressful situations.
  • Experience following safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
