NOW HIRING, PAID POSITION:
Looking for a podcast engineer responsible for the technical aspects of audio/visual production, ensuring high-quality sound from recording through the final master. This role involves setting up equipment, recording, editing, mixing, and mastering content to meet professional standards.
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
Pre-production, recording, and post-production phases.
Equipment Management & Setup: Selecting, setting up, and testing all recording gear.
Recording Sessions: Managing and monitoring both in-person and remote recording sessions, troubleshooting technical issues in real-time.
Audio/Visual Editing: Meticulously editing the raw audio/visual to remove unwanted elements, such as background noise, hums, plosives, excessive pauses, and filler words.
Mixing and Mastering: Balancing all audio sources (host, guests, music, sound effects, sponsor messages) to ensure a cohesive and professional sound.
Quality Control & Standards Compliance: Ensuring the final audio output meets specific technical standards and loudness targets for various platforms.
File Management and Delivery: Organizing audio/visual files, maintaining records of recordings, and preparing/uploading the final mastered episodes.
Collaboration: Working closely with hosts, producers, and editors to align the audio/visual production with the show's creative vision, tone, and pacing.
Schedule:
This is an intermittent role. Hours will vary based on current needs and project schedules.
