MTI is a precision machining and fabrication shop looking for a Quality Inspector I to join our team. We are AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 certified, serving customers who depend on parts built right the first time.
This role reports to the QC Manager and works on the shop floor inspecting parts and preparing inspection documentation. It is a strong entry point for someone who is detail oriented, takes pride in accurate work, and wants to grow in quality within manufacturing.
What you will do:
Inspect machined and fabricated parts against drawings and specifications
Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and pins
Read and interpret engineering drawings and understand GD&T
Prepare and complete inspection documentation and first article inspection reports
Support the QC Manager in maintaining our quality standards
Identify and flag nonconforming parts
What we are looking for:
Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments (training provided for the right candidate)
Basic computer skills for documentation
Reliable, on time, and a team player
High school diploma or equivalent
Applicants must qualify as a U.S. person as defined under 22 CFR 120.62, which includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents (green card holders), and certain protected individuals such as refugees and asylees.
