In 1973 Yamaha purchased the Everett Piano Co. based in South Haven, MI., securing a US-based factory to produce high quality entry and mid-level pianos for the North American market. Everett also manufactured the Cable-Nelson line which became a very successful entry-level brand for Yamaha.
Yamaha moved production of the Cable-Nelson line to a new factory in Hangzhou, China, in 2006 to keep production costs down while maintaining tight control over manufacturing.
This CN116 is a 45” studio, similar in size and performance to the well-known P22. It has been very well maintained. With a wide dynamic range and precise Yamaha action, it will make a great instrument for a motivated beginner to intermediate player.
