Early first-run Sho-Bud Professional, built late 1967–early 1968 during the Shot Jackson / David Jackson era. Code “1-A-3” indicates first batch, first group, third guitar — among the earliest Professionals ever made.
Highly figured birdseye/flame maple, rope marquetry, round-front cabinet, rare poker-suit inlay, original nitro lacquer with correct amber aging. Script “Sho-Bud Nashville, Tennessee” logo (1967–68 only).
I worked for Willie Nelson for many years and acquired this guitar through Herb Remington from original owner Jim Day. Recorded with, carefully maintained, very clean. Appears all original; undercarriage may have seen service parts over time.
