Restored twenty-five years ago and still a viable musical instrument. It was built in 1879 by the Steinway family themselves at their factory in Steinway Village, New York. Electricity had not come to the factory yet so it was crafted by hand, using hand tools during daylight hours with sunlight streaming through the windows. It had been in an Albuquerque piano dealer's inventory but the store closed so it is now in climate-controlled storage. The price is one-third the asking price at the store. Delivery and tuning services are available.
