Early electronic music
I'm a percussionist that also uses electronic elements like synthesizers, drum machines, samplers and DAWS.
I would like to create music by performing on live instruments and then reverse engineering them as electronic compositions, or flipping the process.
I'm interested in pressing records, but I'm not interested in being a full-time musician performing multiple times a month. Tops would be once a month and that's really a lot for me, realistically once every two or three months is better.
I'm not interested in sharing a bunch of my past recordings or projects especially in the beginning.
I really want to start something that's fresh with somebody who wants to do something new as well. I'm not looking for songwriters that need backup musicians or to be somebody's drummer or whatever.
I'm a visual artist and I'm interested in exploring alternate uses for audio. I'm also interested alternate uses of public space and have a few ideas in this area.
The only expectations I have from another musician is that they're creative and understand how their music equipment works. I would prefer a musician that has experience with electronic music. Personally I lean into technology and program a lot of the musical elements in my compositions so I don't expect you to be a master musician or something.
I'm not interested as I said above in sharing out past recordings right off but I am interested in talking and seeing what kind of ideas we can come up with.
