Computer Solutions Group is seeking an experienced Data Cable Installer to join our growing team in Albuquerque, NM. This role is ideal for a technician with 2–3 years of hands-on experience in low‑voltage and data cabling who wants to continue developing their skills in a technical trade environment.
This is not an IT position. It’s a skilled trade role focused on structured cabling, infrastructure installation, and fieldwork.

Required Experience & Background
✔️ 2–3 years of professional experience in data cabling or low‑voltage installation
✔️ Experience with fiber optic or structured cabling projects preferred
✔️ Background in commercial construction, electrical, or related trades strongly desired
Key Responsibilities
• Install, terminate, test, troubleshoot, and repair low‑voltage and fiber‑optic cabling
• Install raceways, cable trays, and low‑voltage conduit (indoor and outdoor)
• Mount and install patch panels, cabinets, racks, cameras, wireless antennas, access points, and multimedia equipment
• Perform cable tracing, diagnostics, and repair work
• Work in high‑security or regulated environments when required
• Follow all safety standards, quality guidelines, and local building regulations
Qualifications
✔️ 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in data or low‑voltage cabling
✔️ Ability to read schematics, drawings, and blueprints
✔️ U.S. Citizenship preferred
✔️ Valid New Mexico driver’s license required
✔️ Ability to distinguish color‑coded wiring
✔️ Fluent in English (spoken and written)
✔️ Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work on stairs
✔️ Comfortable kneeling, bending, and working in various indoor and outdoor environments
✔️ Basic computer skills for online ticketing or documentation systems
✔️ Willingness to work occasional nights or weekends as needed
✔️ Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills
✔️ Professional attitude and ability to work effectively with coworkers, customers, and other trades
