• PAYS $24.00 PER HOUR
• This role requires an active ste armed security guard license and prior law enforcement, military, OR security experience

Internional Protective Service, Inc., an Allied Universal® Company, is hiring an Armed Security Officer. The Armed Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of the facilities they protect. Our Armed Security Officers allow us to accomplish our company's core purpose which is “to service, secure and care for the people and businesses in our communities." Armed Security Officers act as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions; they detect and report suspicious, unsafe or criminal acts or near their assigned posts which may be a thre to the property, clients, guests or employees the site.

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

• Active Ste Armed Security Guard License
• Minimum One (1) year Law Enforcement or Military Experience or six (6) months of security experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Licensing requirements are subject to ste and/or local laws and regulions and may be required prior to employment
• Valid driver's license and clean driving history
• Minimum of 21 years of age (or higher if required by the ste)
• Excellent oral and written interpersonal communicion skills; able to articule and write clear and concise incident or situion reports; able to effectively convey informion to the public, client representives, and fellow employees
• Able to complete all range qualificions and functions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

• Associe's degree or higher in Criminal Justice or protective service reled field
• Three (3) or more years of law enforcement experience
• Three (3) or more years of military experience
• Three (3) or more years of experience as an armed security professional

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and informion
• Conduct prols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified informion
• Preserve order and enforces rules, regulions, and directives for the viability of the site
• Maintains proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and weapons.
• Greet guests and employees, assisting where approprie; escort visitors and contractors, secure ingress and egress points, secure classified informion
• Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders, reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and verbal communicion; interact with client and/or other security personnel regarding order execution when approprie
• Respond to and assesses security alarms or emergency alarms; act as a first responder in emergency situions and provide first aid as necessary
