I bought this purely to go exploring around Corrales with my dog, his favorite thing in the whole world.
Sadly Corrales has changed their policy about ATV use and they won’t let me use it anymore.
I spared no expense making it the best it can be.
I specifically wanted an older smaller simpler RZR and looked for quite a while before picking this one.
I made all the changes to make this “street legal” to use around Corrales.
A fold down glass DOT windshield with wiper and a great adjustable vent at the base.
Rear view and side mirrors.
Front, back and side markers and turn signals with a full wiring harness.
Horn
Spark arrester with additional baffles, high flow, to help reduce the droning to a tolerable level. (IMPI for a modified VW 1800+cc)
New DOT Radial tires.
This was in extremely good condition when I bought it, one owner and garage kept
Additional upgrades and repairs.
Had Polaris replace the pinion nut with and upgraded nyloc nut with a special red Loctite for pinions, bearings and differentials. It was fine but a precaution to the dreaded nut failure and differential destruction. It will never have to be worried about again.
Decent upgraded replacement shocks are unavailable for this so I had the shocks rebuilt and re-valved with high end dual springs and extended reservoir caps for more oil and nitrogen. Upgraded seals used throughout.
Extra thick polymer A arm and shaft protection added on all four A arms (1/2"+)
UMP transmission mounted vortex aluminum air filter to cure the problem of the frame mounted filter coming loose from the intake and sucking sand into the engine.
Full instrumentation (gauges)
Additional switches added with billet holder for lights, 2x4 & 4x4, manual fan switch, extra lighting, Billet speedo ring.
A custom made Dusty Dawg pet transporter cage. He no longer makes the side by side RZR carriers, but it’s awesome. It has a rear gate and an overhead rack for transporting ????
12 volt power plugs.
Exhaust pipes wrapped with heat tape, additional heat barrier behind the seats and under the bed over the motor.
Very trick “parking brake”.
To help with engine cooling, these can run hot at lower speeds, large holes in front of the hood and a cool air scoop above the radiator.
New Silicone Boots for all the CV joints.
All fluids replaced with Amsoil synthetic.
A super high quality H & H lightweight all aluminum trailer with an upgraded HD super-fast jack.
Before you start trying to tell me what it's worth, I don't care what the book says. If this fits your needs, we can talk but I know what I put into it and this just covers most of the parts and nothing for all the hours of labor.
I built this to suit my needs and if it fit's your needs you won't find a better unit anywhere.
I don't have to sell it but I don't know that I'll ever get to use it for what I built it for , still working with the Village. But if if finds a new home that's awesome.
