This is a homemade 11HP diesel 6KW generator made of parts sourced from decommissioned light towers. It currently does not have a title, but all the lights work and it has safety chains so it is steet legal if you want to get it registered.
The KDW 1003GE engine has 3,300 hours, but will likely outlive all of us with proper maintenance. It runs one 30-amp and two 20-amp 120V outlets. Oil changed at 3,000 hours, coolant has been topped off, and has a newer battery. Connected to a 50-gallon (!) fuel tank for constant mutli-day operation. Weighs about 1,700 pounds empty.
The jack was reconfigured to drop a front tire (which doubles as a spare for the other two) so that it can be moved manually on flat ground. There is a long bar attached to the steering knuckle which acts a tie rod so you can steer it while moving. When lowered all the way, the tongue digs into the ground to act as a built-in parking brake.
This would make for a great emergency power source for just the low-power necessities. I do hotshotting for a living, so I can deliver this unit anywhere.
